Petrasco to Handle Rig Mobilization
Petrasco Energy Logistics, an international freight forwarding company headquartered in Dyce, Aberdeen, has won a contract with drilling and engineering contractor, KCA Deutag, to transport the T-45 mobile land drilling rig from Germany to North Africa.
The complex move, which starts immediately, involves transporting the 200-tonne unassembled rig from Georgsdorf, Germany to Skikda, Algeria and onwards to Ardrar Region of southern Algeria, Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) said in a statement on behalf of its member.
Petrasco will coordinate the loadout from the origin point, transportat to the loading port in Germany, handle the discharge at the Algerian port handling and manage onward trucking to the remote desert rig site. In addition, Petrasco is negotiating and overseeing all port charges, the chartering of a suitable vessel, and the entire documentation services to include import documentation and customs clearance.
Petrasco contracted with Steder Group, a member to the WWPC for The Netherlands, for services for transport and port operations for this project.
