Naxco Group Launches African Joint Ventures
Project logistics and heavy-lift specialist Naxco Group has expanded its services in Africa and announced six new joint ventures across the West African region.
The group’s subsidiary, Africamar Shipping & Logistics, has launched joint ventures with partners in Benin, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo.
“The time was right for Africamar Shipping & Logistics to finally establish its own presence in some of the African countries to offer a new alternative and develop its services.” said Philippe Delaporte, Africamar shipping and logistics network manager.
Naxco created the Africamar brand in 2012 in collaboration with the BUDD and GATO groups. The new joint ventures will allow Africamar to focus on global ship and liner agencies, projects and logistics services.
Africamar Shipping & Logistics operates in Angola, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and Guinea, while NAXCO Group has further operations in Algeria, Morocco and Egypt.
The privately owned French group employs about 450 staff worldwide and is composed of 24 affiliate organizations focused on shipping, forwarding and logistics, NVOCC and marine services.
