AGL Ships 2,000-ton Cargo To Nigeria
German transport firm Alexander Global Logistics has completed transportation and heavy-lifting of a cargo from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Apapa to the west of Lagos Island in Nigeria.
The cargo weighed 2,000 freight tonnes, and the project team from AGL was responsible for all documentation and customs clearance for the cargo as well as surveys at departure and arrival ports. AGL also managed the loading and unloading process and chartering requirements for the sea journey.
“AGL is regularly doing cross-trade charters for German as well as international customers and through years of experience, we have become specialists in the field,” said Jürgen Weyhausen, AGL director of projects.
AGL is headquartered in Bremen in Northern Germany and provides ship chartering services, transshipment, warehousing and distribution as well as full service logistics for heavy-lift and project cargo deliveries.
The firm is a member of the Project Cargo Network, or PCN, a global network comprising 221 specialist members, employing 16,756 staff in 102 countries.
