JAS, Necotrans Form Logistics Alliance
Breakbulk transportation firms JAS Worldwide and Necotrans Holding have signed a global logistics alliance that is expected to strengthen project cargo capacity for both firms worldwide.
A key area of growth is expected to be the African market and in particular the oil and gas industries and mining sector. Necotrans already has presence in some 25 African countries and operates oil supply bases, bulk and multipurpose port terminals to support husbandry, freight, and logistics services.
“By joining our efforts, JAS and Necotrans will have the capacity and the network to respond globally to customer needs. Necotrans group is highly committed to making this alliance a real success story and to connect the African market to the world,” said Gregory Querel, chairman of Necotrans Group.
JAS will bring its specialist knowledge in international logistics services for the EPC, oil and gas and mining sectors. Headquartered in Milan, JAS is particularly strong in the Asia Pacific region., having invested heavily in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
