Lebanese logistics firm Global Cargo Line has completed several project cargo deliveries to Africa and the Middle East.
The consignments included shipment of roller tandem vibratory drums and a tank truck from Antwerp to Brazzaville via Pointe Noire Port as well as delivery of a boat, antennas, radars and sensor equipment from Spain to Beirut.
Global Cargo Line also completed delivery of a Komatsu PC 400 excavator from Lebanon to Maputo in Mozambique. This excavator weighed about 30 tonnes and measured 167 cubic meters in volume. It was transported to the departure port using a low-bed trailer then shipped directly to Mozambique.
The firm recently became a member of the Project Cargo Network, or PCN, a global network comprising 221 specialist members, employing 16,756 staff in 102 countries. Fellow PCN member, Intertransport Gruber has also shipped a number of overweight cargoes recently having completed delivery of lathe machinery from Taiwan to Hamburg.
In total, the Italian logistics and freight company shipped seven separate crates of machinery. The largest of these measured 4.7 meters in length and weighed 17,655 kilograms. The Relocation & Assembly team from Gruber also handled all unloading and positioning of the machinery once it arrived at its destination.
